Chocolate Ganache Tart

This decadent, silky, rich ganache tart is the most luxurious chocolate dessert yet the easiest to make! Even if it's your first time in the kitchen, I guarantee you'll be surprised at how quickly everything comes together and how gourmet it tastes!

Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1.5 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tbsp butter

Tart

  • 340 gm Dark Chocolate 60 – 70% dark preferred
  • 1 cup silk whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

Tart shell

  • Add the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter to a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly
  • Add the cookie crumb mixture to a tart pan and spread evenly
  • Apply firm pressure until all of the crumb mix is tightly packed into the pan

Chocolate Ganache

  • Heat up the heavy cream and butter in a saucepan until it's just about to boil
  • Pour this mixture into a bowl of chopped chocolate and cover tightly
  • Let this rest for 5 mins until the bowl is cool to touch
  • Mix the chocolate with a spatula until you get a thick ganache
  • Pour this mixture into a the tart pan and refrigerate for minimum of an hour
  • Cut into slices, top with flaky sea salt and enjoy!

Notes

There is really not much that could go wrong with this recipe, and I’m still surprised by how quick it was to whip this up!
Some tips to make sure everything goes smoothly:
Use the best quality chocolate you can find since that’s what this entire dessert is about! Chocolate chips work great but a good quality bar of chocolate is my go to!
If you’re using a bar/block of chocolate, make sure you’re chopping the chocolate into small even pieces, or the chocolate might not melt well enough.
If your chocolate does not melt, microwave the mixture for a minute or two on low power, stirring every 30 seconds or so. Be very careful not to burn your precious chocolate!
Two tips to make this even quicker:
There is many graham cracker crusts in the market the happen to be accidentally vegan – by getting this you can skip the entire step of making the tart shell.
If you’re in a rush, freezing the tart for 20-30 minutes seems to help it set well enough too!
