Shrikhand Tiramisu

Shrikhand Tiramisu

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Vegan White Bread Slices
  • 2 tbsp Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 1 cup Water
  • cups Vegan Greek Style Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Maple / Agave Syrup
  • 4 tbsp Chopped Pistachios
  • 4 Tbsp Saffron Milk

Instructions
 

Shrikhand Preperation

  • Mix Yogurt, Maple Syrup, Pistachios and Saffron Milk together. 
  • Chill the shrikhand for 4-6 hours and allow it to set. 
  • Serve as is or read on to make a tiramisu.

Shrikhand Tiramisu

  • Bake the bread slices at 350F for 5 minutes on one side and 2 minutes on the other side.
  • We want the bread to resemble rusk or a well-done toast. Our baked bread will replace the traditional ladyfingers.
  • Whisk together matcha and 1 cup hot water.
  • Dunk the baked bread into the matcha liquid and assemble a base layer in a casserole or a baking dish. 
  • Top it with generous amounts of shrikhand. Here shrikhand is replacing the mascarpone but will be just as luscious.
  • Repeat the bread and shrikhand layers twice more. 
  • Dust the topmost layer of shrikhand with matcha powder. Let it chill for a couple of hours and then serve.
